ENK. 61 11-XI-61

Zone 102/103, hearth at - 1m70 with copper slag, pt 616 which completes the indications recovered in the locus immediately to the south-west where abundant slag had also been found the day before at the same depth , on the original floor of the building.

Zone 107/108, bringing to light of the fine architectural remains, some in place, others overturned and fallen: they are enormous carefully dressed blocks, with tenon, or rebate, or boss, limestone monoliths fitted with close joints ( ashlar ). As for the ash zone, its extent is quite impressive, with the heaps of collapse, of bricks and of concrete and red clay, over more than one metre in thickness in certain places, zones 105/106. All this is difficult to explain.... earthquake - many timber frames and wooden beams
