24-XI-61 = (to be cited) Observations important !

This N-S alignment of foundations of the fine Mycenaean period was built in a trench specially cut into the rock for this purpose, from zone 134 up to 137. Apparently, the walls resting on these foundations were to be built of bricks (which are numerous in the debris of these zones) and not of dressed blocks or ashlar. The fine walls in ashlar masonry, (1) in relation to the thick upper white floor, date here clearly from the immediately following period, Close Style (Mycenaean III C 1 early)

Still zone 136, eastern part, pocket with sherds Br. Réc 1 or Ch Réc 1 (red-on-red + base-ring fine quality)

(1) situated further west, zone 105 to 108
