24-XI-61 width = 1 m This N-S alignment of foundations* of the fine Mycenaean period was built in a trench specially cut in the rock for this purpose, from zone 134 to 137. Apparently, the walls resting on these foundations were to be built of bricks (which are numerous in the debris of these zones) and not of dressed blocks or ashlar. The fine walls of ashlar masonry (1), in relation to the thick upper white floor, date here clearly to the immediately following period, Close Style (Mycenaean III C 1 early)
