Very intense heat

Tuesday 14 November 1961Sector 103, pt. 621 in "pit", an inscribed ball in red-brown t.c., very well associated with characteristic sherds of the wavy line style, Myc. III c : 2 (=Iron I) The find-spot lies at -3 m 10, at essentially the same spot as the balls found in the layer in situ, pt. 571, 579 (p. 6 and 8)

Sector 101 102 brought to light again over a large area, the existence of the 2 fine thick white floors separated by a stratum of 20 cm, of average thickness. The observation is particularly interesting at the location of the pt. 598 and 599 (cf p. 14), where the white floors are at 0 m 40 and 0 m 60 below the floor at the jug 598 with two painted fish.
