3. Nov. 1961_ Kuss leaves Beyr. with his wife (draughtswoman) to open camp, prepare equipment and 4. Nov. 1961. hire workmen with Marinos (Mikael) That day the de Contensons leave Beyr. for Nicosia and Enkomi, Odile and I embark with luggage in the evening at 17h. on S/S Stelvio (Adriaticalin, Italian excellent ship) for Latakia (on the 5th in the morning) and Famagusta. 5 Nov. Sunday, Courtois leaves by plane for Enk. — 6. Nov. We arrive at 6 h in sight of Famagusta, disembark at 7h45, arrive at the Expeditionhouse at 8h 1/2, excavations began at 7 o'clock with 23 men. Difficulty finding good labour. We go to look in the neighbouring villages. — Install, some Organisations.
