Sunday (Dimanche) 24 Sept. 50.

Afternoon survey of the site near Hala Sultan Tekke (Larnaca) on rise at the bottom of the salt lake = former gulf. Important Mycenaean site with very numerous sherds XV-XIV-XIIIth, and fr. Syrian pot., nothing more recent on the surface. It is from here that the very large jar in the Museum came, found accidentally and which was embedded in the floor of a house. A sounding would be useful.
