Enkomi 1953 Scarab pt. 168 (1m55) Inv. no. 29
- The back of the scarab of a rather loose workmanship - Clipeus poorly treated. Style careless and flabby, which would suggest a work foreign to Egypt - Syro-Mediterranean.
, written sideways: Mrs. Noblecourt- The flat side. fine, vigorous style. The most difficult to interpret.
- either a griffin { with pointed beak and indication of wing in back. Triangular mane
- or a lion. { eye and ear too large illogical and fanciful
could be placed in the category of scarabs decorated with animals - of the same style, same line, from the end of the Hyksos period. I know of none similar.
