Dear Prof. Schaeffer,

My long-awaitedtrip to France I have unfortunately had to keep postponing Actually I had wanted to come to Paris in spring. Now it looks very much as if it will be autumn before I can get free, for first I still have to go to Slovakia and to Switzerland. The Encomi bronzes are finished and could be collected at any time. Of course I would very be glad to welcome you myself in Mainz. First I can only say with certainty that I shall be in mid July-mid August in Mainz sein werde. From mid August -mid September I shall be on Urlaub sein. Krurze Zeit nach Rückkehr nach Mainz sollte dann die France trip should start. If anything still changes in this programme I will write about it. Mrs Kron-Forrer has phoned me and meanwhile she has today begun the drawing of the little cart. Of course we would gladly write you a short report on the conservation of the Encomi bronzes. I would be glad to know the latest possible date for submitting the manuscript, sothat I can plan this work. I think it is sensible, thisreport quite short and factual.
