[written sideways: a very sick man. I do not know how far he had progressed with the work; he refused to let my husband have a copy of the preliminary report (which he had written as his thesis for his B.A. at Sydney). He has never told me which of the pots he wanted me to draw for him. I believe that he is working, temporarily, in some suburban museum in London (cataloguing stuffed birds, or something like that); he is said to be going out to the Sudan in October, for 6 months, with Prof. Emery (of University College, London). I hope you have had a successful season & were not too much hindered by the rain; I hear they had a very wet winter in Cyprus. I am hoping to get back to Cyprus fairly soon, so perhaps we may meet again there - it would be a great pleasure if we could. My best wishes to you both. Yours sincerely Eve Stewart.]
