Dear Professor Schaeffer, Herewith I return Stewart's three photos of Cypriote vessels in the Louvre which you kindly lent me for re-photographing. The other photo of Stewart, of a vessel in Bathurst, I sent to him a few days ago, together with your letter addressed to him and a covering letter of my own. If he doesn't return that photo to you himself, I will do so later. Professor Bersu was pleased to get your greetings. He told me, by the way, that the 1962 Prehistoric Congress will be held in Rome, as originally planned; and that Prof. Pallottino will preside. Prof. Bersu was not greatly in favor of Rome, for a variety of reasons; but the matter was so settled at Prague. Here by chance I met a Professor Åkerström of Göteborg, who has kindly given me a card of introduction to Dr. Vessby, in charge of the Cyprus material in Stockholm; and he has assured me that the material is well organized and accessible in a temporary storage, awaiting installation in a new building. Once more, my warmest thanks to you and to Mrs. Schaeffer for your very friendly reception the other day. Yours sincerely, Carl Schuster.
