Nicosia, Cyprus Museum, 3.IX.46 Dear friend, here is a note on the last two weeks of research at Arslan Tepe and our departure from Anatolia. I confirm my letters from Malatya dated 20.VII.; 4.VIII.; 15.VIII. We have now been for 3 days in the island. Today I am finishing the preparations and purchases in Nicosia. We leave tomorrow for Famagusta, where our equipment precedes us by a few hours. We are going to be in operation from Thursday, 5 Sept. All is well, health excellent, good news of my family returned from Switzerland at Castel Blanc. When do you think you will convene the Commission of Excavations? Nov. - Dec.?
