Capitaine de Corvette Claude F. A. Schaeffer, Le Castel Blanc, 14, rue Turbot, St. Germain-en-Laye, FRANCE.
Dear Dr. Schaeffer,
There has been a slight delay in this reply owing to my absence from London, but all is ready now and your replica will be despatched towards the end of this week labelled as you have indicated. I trust it will arrive in good condition and that you will not be troubled by Customs.
I have heard from Megaw regarding the return of the original and it is to the effect that the Colonial Office is handling this and will apply to me for the remains of the second bowl to send back with the first.
I am leaving for the Milan/Genoa I.C.O.M. Conference on Sunday and do not expect to return till August 1st.
With kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
