Dear Mr. Megaw, It was found necessary to arrange for a special case to exhibit the Enkomi bowl and the show will therefore open only towards end of the month. As you asked in your letter of may 19 th, 1952 the bowl to be returned before the 1st of February, I herewith ask you to prolong the period until 1. July. That would mean an exhibition during 2 months at the Louvre. I would than return the bowl to the British Embassy for its despatch to Nicosia via London. As the electrotype replica was not sent with the original, I have written to Plenderleith and receive to-day the following answer: « We have made a replica of the bowl for you as promised free of charge. Kindly let me know if you will be calling for it or wish it sent. » Would you let me know by return if possible, if you prefer, pending the division, the replica to be sent with the original to Nicosia or to be kept here. I wish you good journey & pleasant weather during your leave. Here, after the cold weather at Easter we hope for a pleasant spring. Yours sincerely C.F.A. Schaeffer.
