Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

I have just heard from Ashmole that the silver bowl is now ready for despatch to the Louvre and I am making the agreed arrangements for its conveyance. Provided it does not again get lost in somebody's safe, M. Parrot should have a telephone call from the Embassy in a few weeks time. I have asked Ashmole to include in the package, if possible, for our ultimate use, the little stand on which the bowl was exhibited in the British Museum. People say it was very neat.

You will be glad to know that we have had all our Enkomi dumps removed. It cost £440.

Yours sincerely,

A.H.S. Megaw
