Dear M. Plenderleith,

Thank you for your letter and photographs of April 22. Unfortunately it was too late to change the text of your article in Enkomi - Al. I, which is in binding. But as the offprint is not yet printed I asked the printer to stop work on it. If you wish these changes to be introduced, it would mean resetting and establishment of new blocks. I cannot, unfortunately take these costs as the printing is paid on a base of a fixed price arranged between the printer and the editor.

If you would be consenting, I could ask what the changes would cost and have you send the estimate. Pending your answer, I keep your text, photographs and drawing here. Please receive enclosed my cheque for the BM & M. Bell.

I hope to be able to arrange that the cup stays longer in the B.M. that a galvanopl. replica could be made. I wrote Prof. Ashmole about it.

Yours sincerely C. F. A. Schaeffer.
