I have arranged with the ILN to publish in my article a beautiful colour photograph of the bowls and of the faiences of tomb 5. I am sure you will like them. I have asked that 4 copies been sent immediately to Nicosia (you, Dikaios, library of the mus. and one for the members of the laboratory who helped to put the faiences together). The volume Enkomi-Alasia, I is in print and nearly finished. The first bounded copies can be ready end of May. I am sending to-day half of the texts and all the plates in sheets to you. When you have got the rest, you could have bound the volume in Nicosia on my cost and present it to the Museum Library.

Now about the nexte season of the French branch at Enkomi: I am sending Pironin and a new archaeological assistant of my students M. Courteois to Limassol on Sept.15th and I shall with Forrer join them on the 15th or 16th by air, from Beyrouth. The work could begin than immediately.

I wouod be grateful to you to ask Georgios to order for me that they would be ready by that date 50 of these little axes we use for detail work at Enkomi, part of which I shall take over with me when returning to Syria after the dig.

There may be a chance that I can send Pironin-Courtois and Forrer already to Limassol on August the 23. Theywould than begin with soundings along the southern and western perimeter of the town wall. until I arrive for the main work. I shalhh inform you in time, if this arrangment would be possible.

In any case I would be grateful to you for lending me again the services of Georgios and some of your specialists, I also hope to find Michael.

I very much hope you will be in Cyprus at that time.

Please give my souvenirs to Dikaios.

With kind regards also from my wife (who unfortunately will not be able to join me because of the marriage of my second daughter Beatrice) to Mrs.Megaw

Yours sincerely
