Dr. Schaeffer, Le Castel Blanc, 14, Rue Turgot, St. Germain-en-Laye, FRANCE.

Dear Dr Schaeffer,

This is just to say that after prolonged delay the box has arrived and was opened by me last Saturday. The bowl has travelled apparently perfectly and is of the greatest interest.

The first thing will be to study the ornament and technique and record the pattern as far as possible by X-Ray. I am hoping to get this complete before the holiday and will let you have a provisional report before I leave England on the 25th August.

Yours sincerely,
