state fresh! We shall be back at Castel Blanc, 14 rue Turgot, at St-Germain-en-Laye, on the 12 cr. I ask you to write to me at this address for questions concerning the transport of the crates. Don Styllianou. Beheaded of the main bronzes, it no longer presents any bp interest. I refused to accept. And I asked that a photograph of the whole of the cleaned bronzes be submitted, both to the Louvre for knowing whether it wishes to accept, and to M. Styll. for knowing whether he wants to give under these conditions. – I shall have to advise the authorities of the Louvre to refuse the beheaded gift. The pces should then return to M. Styllianou. One could wait for a more favourable moment for the removal of the pieces. In any case, it seems to me that the present proposal, so little generous, should be refused. My wife joins me in sending you our very warm regards and our thanks for your help and your advice. Christmas and the New Year being very near, please accept our most sincere wishes for 1958, a year of peace, we hope everywhere. Yours C. F. A. Schaeffer.
