DEPARTMENT OF ANTIQUITIES NICOSIA 5th December, 1957
Dear Professor Schaeffer,
I enclose as requested, 3 copies of the "Cyprus Mail" for the 4th December, containing your communiqué. I think they published most of it. The C.B.S. also gave your announcement good prominence and have asked me to do for them a short commentary on the background and objectives of the Enkomi excavations.
I hope you were able to make good headway with the film commentary before you left. I look forward to seeing it in its final shape.
I take the opportunity to enclose a receipt for the items you gave to Mr. Sinclair and Mr. Wideson. Would you please sign and return 2 copies so that our records may be in order.
Kuss is hard at work in the Museum and we are doing what we can to help.
Bad weather has interfered with Dikaios' work at Enkomi but I hope he will be able to get most of the outstanding finishing touches done.
Handwritten: with good wishes, yours
