Two passages touch on the controversial topic of racial origins of the Cypriots, which can be twisted to political purposes. A. does do you think Syrian connections would do instead of origins ?
B. Can we just refer to the Bronze age inhabitants simply as the successors of A. without bearing that they were a new lot of foreign settlers ?
