||at Limassol on Saturday next, we would return with the Jeep & another Car to Nicosie, taking all our luggage and boxes with us to Ledra P. Hotel. We would than take a plane on Monday with additional weight for our boxes, leaving behind some of the heavy luggage for air freight the next day and, of course, the Jeep to be shipped the next week or some other day from Famagousta by cargo. — The great bulk of antiquities to be shipped. M. Lapierre told me that I will easely find ships for sending the heavy boxes from Limassol directly to Marseilles. M. Kuss shall stay behind to help with the packing for which I hope to get the team of specialists from the American Consul. I shall provide him with funds for buying boxes & packing material. Any help your Museum staff could give him would be greatly appreciated by me. He will sign the lists of outgoing antiquities on my behalf. To avoid reopening and examination by the army or the customs, I hope you can arrange with the authorities that our boxes are conveyed to either Limassol or Larnaca or Famagousta according to the boat selected. M. Lapierre will probably undertake to make the shipping arrangements.
