lui apporter / ou envoyerDear Professor Schaeffer, Thank you very much for your very kind letter of 20th inst. and for your generosity in sending me your Ugaritica II . I had bought it long ago, but with your permission, may I give my old copy to the "Society of Cyprus Studies" in Nicosia? They will be very happy to have it. As for the Stratigraphie and Enk. Alasia , which you mention, I use, of course, the C. Museum Library's copies. It is extremely kind of you to invite me to help at Enkomi. I wish I could! I shall have spent all my leave by then, and since such an enterprise will have to be [illegible] entirely personal and not official, I rather doubt it; but nevertheless I shall not miss any opportunity to visit you in the field. I am looking forward to a new and successful di campaigns at Enkomi. If I could be of any use in assisting you to publish the Mycenaean vases, on which I specialise, I shall be only too glad to do it. My wife and myself send you our kindest regards.

Yours sincerely VKarageorghis
