NICOSIA 12th November,1955.

Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

You will have heard from M. H. de Contenson of the safe delivery of the finds from your recent campaign at the Cyprus Museum and the issue of an export licence for those items taken on loan.

______I enclose the official receipt for the £100 cheque you gave me before you left. This will enable us to deal with the acquisition commitments at present in view.

Rain has delayed the start of Dikaios' further examination of the "temple" area, but he is there now. He will attend to the levelling of the dumps round the house preparatory to the new season's tree-planting.

Hoping you are having a successful season at Ras Shamra. With kind regards to you & Mme Schaeffer from my wife and myself Yours sincerely AHSMegaw.

P.S. I await your communiqué about your recent Enkomi campaign to pass on to the press.

Dr. C.F.A. Schaeffer, M.A., D. Litt., Mission de Ras Shamra, Minet-El-Beida Par Lattaquie (Syrie).
