MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKS DEPARTMENT OF ANTIQUITIES

Nicosia, 10 March 1978.

Dear Mr Schaeffer,

We have duly received the metal suitcase containing 102 boxes of pottery fragments. After verification I confirm that the fragments agree with the list you supplied but not with the two lists I sent you on 30 June 1977, with the sole exception of the sherds of the year 1957. I do hope you will return the remains of objects which are still with you as soon as possible since, as you know, the loan has been with you for several years. I shall be obliged to inform our Ministry should the case arise.

Please accept, dear Mr Schaeffer, my most distinguished sentiments.

K. Nicolaou K. Nicolaou Curator of the Archaeological Museum For the Director of the Department of Antiquities.

Monsieur C.F.A. Schaeffer Member of the Institut Le Castel Blanc 16 rue Turgot 78100 St. Germain-en-Laye FRANCE.
