Dear Prof. Schaeffer,

With reference to the loan to you of various antiquities between the years 1957 and 1970, of which I sent you a revised list on 27th December 1973, I wish to inform you that you have not applied for a renewal of the undertakings whose validity expired on 27th December 1974.

Since the said objects have been with you for several years now and in the hope that their study has been completed, please return them to me at your earliest convenience.

In respect of the "Dieu au Linget" and of the Salamis bronze head, now in Mainz, please hand them over to the Cyprus Embassy either in Bonn or Paris with the request that they should be sent to the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
