Hon. Curator, Cyprus Museum, Nicosia.

Hon. Sir,

The enclosed photograph illustrates various tools of the Copper or Bronze Age, which were discovered near Enkomi 20-25 years ago by a labourer from that village called Yianni. The tools in question were sold by the said villager to Mr. Palma of Famagusta (a druggist) who later sold them to Mr. George Pavlides from whom I bought them. All these sales were made with the approval of the Cyprus Museum. All the abovementioned tools I offer for sale to the French Archaeological Mission which, as I am informed, you represent. If you are interested, I request that you fix a day and time when we can meet at Larnaca and reach an agreement. It might interest you to know that on some of these tools there are various inscribed letters. In case you are not interested, pray return the enclosed photograph.

Awaiting your reply, I remain,

(Sd.) Kyriaco Stylianou.
