Excavations at Enkomi - Alasia (near Famagusta, Cyprus). 3 October 1958.

My dear Permanent Secretary, The French Archaeological Mission to Enkomi-Alasia is currently in full activity despite the events in the island, which, until now, have only moderately influenced influenced our work. I ask you to convey my best regards to my colleagues of the Academy and to inform them of the first results obtained- — I would be grateful if you would forward the enclosed press release to the Agence France Presse, and I thank you in advance. The weather is still quite hot, but dry, and our work in the field continues in good conditions. I take this opportunity to present, on behalf of my wife and myself, with our respects to Madame Merlin, our warm regards. Yours CFA Schaeffer.
