Le Castel Blanc, 24.IX.64.

Dear Director, I thank you for your letter of 29 August. I would indeed be glad if you could instruct the foreman of your department to inspect the works and to check the execution .

Mr Kuss asked me to wait with the work concerning the repair of the "shelter" of the old house until he could see the condition when he comes to Cyprus after the excavations at Ras Shamra ; we are therefore waiting and will do the work following the new construction .

I thank you for the facilities you have granted to Mr Johnstone when he went to fetch the Landrover.

My address from this day will be P.O. Box 14.24 Beirut .

Please present the best regards from my wife and my respectful homage to Mrs Karageorghis and believe, dear Director, in my distinguished sentiments and devoted .

CFASchaeffer.
