Lagarce has discussed the matter with you. – I am greatly disturbed by the fact that you decided to take a Nicosia contractor; we had agreed to take a contractor of local origine or from Famagusta. I like to work with people of the region where I am digging & which I can easily reach in case of repair work. Also I like to spend the expedition funds among the people of the neighbourhood not who in many cases help me and the expedition in many ways. During the sad events in Cyprus to day, I want even more to be dependent of people I know more or less in the vicinity of my research, and to be able to remain absolutely neutral [illegible] in front of happenings which I cannot approve. – So if there is absolutely no other way, I accepte the choice, but I would like you to discuss the matter with M.
