Dear Dr Karageorghis,

Thank you for your letter of March 5th & 23 [illegible]. I am writing to apply for permission to erect an extension of the present expedition house together with a detailed plan. I should be glad if the new building could be carried out as soon as possible and supervised by a representative of your Directorate, perhaps Mr Michael.

I am glad that you have sent the short report from the hut near the excavations to the store-room in the village. I hope they have not been mixed with the clumsier sherds of last year's excavation. I hope the pieces may now be delivered before the excavation.
