Dear Director,

M. J. C. Courtois to whom I have given my instructions for the begin of the next Enkomi - Alasia Expedition has just left me to return to Paris. He will arrive at Nicosia on Sept. 12^th and pay you visit at your office. Pending my arrival on Sept. 20 . he represents me at the head of the expedition . I would be grateful for lending us the services of M. Michael Vaios as during the past years , as from Sept. 12^th . The excavations should begin on Monday 16^th . —

M. Courtois is accompanied by M. M Lagarce and Nicolardot whom you know , as well as of his sister M^lle Courtois , who will make the drawings and look after the Expedition house. An italian archaeologist specializing in Cypriote & Near Eastern Archaeol. M^lle or Attr. Parise , joins the expedition as a guest member. —

I am looking forward to see you soon , please give my kind regards to M^me Dikaios. I shall bring you good news of all the other expedition members who can't come this year with me. Yours sincerely C F A Schaeffer .
