Dear Director, Among letters to be answered after inquiries, is yours dated July 1st. The matter had to be discussed at our board. It is felt that contrary of to my personal opinion, the acquisition of land involved with the diversion of a public road , should not be considered as an archaeological matter for which the already small budget of the Enkomi-Expedition would be responsible. I therefore hope that the Ministry of Communications & Works could take over the whole cost of the acquisition. – Yours sincerely
