I have the honour of asking you to renew the permit for excavations of the French Archaeological Mission at Enkomi (district of Famagusta) which will expire on 9 August of this year. The excavation campaign of 1957 will take place either at the end of September or in the month of November with the participation of MM Kuss, de Contenson and Willer under my direction. I will inform you of the exact date as soon as I arrive at Beirut on S/S Espéria, on 27 September next. Please accept, Sir, the expression of my very distinguished sentiments.
