Dear Dr Schaeffer, Thank you for your letter of yesterday and news of good progress on the wall — and of the safe arrival of your reinforcements! I propose to visit you again next Monday afternoon and would be very glad to take tea with you after seeing what you have uncovered since my last visit. We should take this opportunity to discuss any further matters arising out of your campaign, for I am leaving for a few days holiday at sea on Tuesday afternoon and shall not be here on the day you leave for Syria. However Dikaios will be back before on Tuesday before I leave. With kind regards to Mme Schaeffer Yours sincerely A.H. Megaw

PS. Next week the Museum will be open only on Monday & Friday afternoons : 3 — 5 P.M.
