Dear Dr.Schaeffer,
Thank you for your letter of 11th August. Following your suggestion I have arranged for your 6 finds which Plenderleith is treating, to be delivered to the Colonial Office for despatch here by the Governor's bag as soon as they are ready.
I am finding out the ownership of the two unacquired plots on the line of the wall which Forrer will be investigating with a view to securing the owners' consent.
We are proceeding with arrangements for Michael Vaios to be released on Forrer's arrival and we will see nearer the time who can be spared from the Museum staff. I note your preference for younger men.
If Forrer comes without the theodolite we will try to borrow one from the Lands & Surveys Department who are usually able to lend us one when required. We have none of our own.
I hope the Cambridge conference goes well.
Yours sincerely,
A.H.S. Megaw.
