Dear Mr Abdelnour,

The time of our return to Beirut and to Syria is drawing near and I look forward to seeing you again. I hope that Mrs Abdelnour and your daughter are well and that we find you in good health. Mr Forrer will write to you to let you know that he must embark with the Jeep and Mr Kuss (who arrives on 30 August on IONIA) for Cyprus in the 1st week of September. I hope there will be a boat. I myself will take the PAA plane of 16 Sept. and will arrive in Beyr. in the evening at 2130. I will go the next day to Damascus and I would like to leave on Sunday 19 for Nicosia by plane. Please reserve a seat for me. – The enclosed letter intended for Mr Forrer and containing cheques for Cyprus must wait for his return from Ras Shamra. Please hand it to him at that time. – Please prewarn Mr Forrer that he must collect his mail at the post office at Lattakia, or I write to him directly except in a special case. I confirm my letters of 22 and 24 July to him. I hope all goes well in your beautiful country. Please believe, dear Mr Abdelnour, in all my best sentiments. And goodbye. C F A Schaeffer
