Dear M. Megaw, I hope you have received my letter dated 9th July and my wishes for a speedy recovery of Dikaios. – You will find here a cheque of £ 182 - 10 - 0 for the acquisition of plots 197 and 262 at Enkomi. – M. Forrer & Kuss will be ready to come over to Nicosia and Enkomi in the first week of September. I myself fly over to Beyrouth on Sept. 16 et shall arrive in Nic. on Sunday or Monday 19 or 20 Sept. Pending my arrival MM Forrer and Kuss shall continue the soundings along the South and Est perimeter of the town wall and specially try to find the joiner with the North Wall at the north-est corner where we had made soundings 1 & 2, see the inclosed photographe of the plan. This area A is given priority, then follows B and if the work is advanced before my arrival, MM Forrer & Kuss shall try to find the gates of the Est & South walls. – The wall faces will be laid free on both sides & all finds & sherds fixed on the plan in their stratigraphical order. If structures are found in contact with the wall, they shall not be excavated until I arrive. I would be grateful if you could lend to the
