I am particularly anxious that you could agree to my proposal as I had the impression that your curators stratigraphical and chronological analysis of the building in the „Temple area” has moved towards better harmony with my own observations in the contacting area of "building 18" already published and thus smooth down the difficulties which had arisen between his results and those of the French Expedition. It seems urgent to me and to many other archaeologists interested in the ever so important question of chronology and stratigraphy in this central area of Enkomi - Alasia that your curators observations made during the campagnes between 1948 and 19.. are laid before the archaeological world as soon as possible. The finishing of the excavation and the publication of your results in the area of the North wall could than follow conveniently, the supposed place of the northern gate being accessible to investigation without the expense of a diversion of the present road. This would also give me time to advance or finish my work on the town wall to the south and ouest and on both sides of the north wall allotted
