Dear Professor Schaeffer,

I hope you had a pleasant stay in Cyprus and that you are now back at St. Germaine-en-Laye.

This letter is to confirm one point of our meeting in Nicosia last month, particularly the request, emanating from the Antiquities Law, to organize the publication of the fruitful excavations which you have carried out at Enkomi. We are all aware of their importance and everybody expects eagerly to have a full and up-to-date excavation report of all the excavations which have occurred at Enkomi since 1934. This is a gigantic project, I know, but I am sure you will organize this and thus complete in a permanent, scientific manner, your monumental work in Cyprus.

With kindest regards,

Yours sincerely,
