Dear Dr. Karageorghis, Thank you for your letter of Jan. 24th. Accepting the honor to say on behalf of the non Cypriot participants a few words at the opening ceremony of the Symposium after the address of the Minister and before the lecture of Marinatos, I would ask you to send me an up-to-date list of the scholars present (to B.P. 16, La Croix- Valmer (83) where I just arrived). The list included in your invitation of July 16th. seems to be incomplete now. The 5-8 minutes address, besides thanking the President and the Cyprus Government for their gracious hospitality which enable us to debate matters of our research in the comfort of your capital, I should express regrets about the absence of several known mycenaeologists who could not join us or have recently died, in case the Minister does not reserve this task for himself.
