Dear Professor Schaeffer,

This is to request you to accept to say a few words at the opening ceremony of the Mycenaean Symposium on the 27th of March at 10 a.m., on behalf of all the non-Cypriot participants. This will follow immediately after the address by the Minister. I envisage that your address will last about 5 or 8 minutes, since there will be a long lecture by Professor Marinatos immediately afterwards.

Please let me know if you accept this request so that I may print this in the programme.

I would also request you to send the resumé of your communication as early as possible.

With kindest regards,

Yours sincerely,
