Dear Colleague, I have received your circular letter rel. on the text of my communication. I deposited it at the Museum on the morning of my departure by air and I sent it to you. Please check. It is corrected and typed, but if the state of the ms is insufficient, please send it back to me for revision, please. I will correct it all at once. I have no illustrations to add, as the essential finds that I cite are published by you or the will be shortly and by me, and others must first appear in E. A. II. - I bought before [illegible] taking the plane at the Museum the English edition of your volume on Cyprus, for I was impatient to verify whether certain passages in the French edition really correspond to your thought. On the plane I compared and found that the translation is accurate. I thus find that on essential points of the stratigraphy and chronol. of Enkomi-Alasia, your opinion conflicts with our findings. Before speaking of these disagreements, and still thinking that there must be misunderstandings there, I will postpone the completion of a study in progress to examine these points with you on the occasion of our stay at Enk. Al. in Nov. — Again all my congratulations on the great success of the Congress, my respects and my wife's regards
