Dear Professor Schaeffer,

Thank you very much for your letter of 24th December and the enclosed revised text of your 1967 report together with the photo of the cylindrical tablet. As soon as they are returned to me I shall send it back to you. Thank you also for your card. I am sending to-day a copy of my text to M. Gillie, as you suggest.

You may remember that we spoke, when you were here, about an exhibition of your latest Enkomi discoveries (bronzes and rouleau) in April, during the Cypriot Congress. I remind you, therefore, to bring the latter with you so that it may be exhibited in a way which will show it satisfactorily. By the way, would you agree to say a few words to members of the Congress when they will visit Enkomi and then Salamis, on the 16th of April?

With all good wishes to Mrs Schaeffer and yourself for the new year.

Yours,

V Karageorghis
