Dear M. Karageorghis, Thank you for your letter of ? in reply to mine of Febr. 2nd. Meantime, I told you how much we are happy that peace will now return to the island. There will remain many difficult matters to be settled. But the shooting is over & the tyranny of the military authorities & the police. I will see with Kuss next week what happened to the drawing of the R.S. chariot crater in the Louvre. I remember having seen it & also a photographe which I ordered. I thought all this is in your hands. I shall write to Dikaios soon about the transfer of the material in the Khan. I think it better to see to the matter when I come back to Nicosia in automne as + CNRS. Of course I stand by what I asked you to do about the attestation. But you have to fill in a form, on which there is a space provided for my attestation. Have you done this ? It is true that if you cannot comme before March 1960, it would be time to apply at the session of octobre 1st. But if you are ready for before May 1st, it is as well to do it know. - I shall myself ask Lejeune to support your demande.

+ the conditions now do no longer prevent us to reach the Khan. I would then select the material to be done first & select with your advice. I also prefer doing this when Megaw is back.
