archaeological Institute, being either an Annexe of the Beirut Arch. Institute or of the École Française d'Athènes ? The creation of the new State will automatically carry with it the creation of a French Consulate in Cyprus. We may even have an Institut Français for cultural activities. These are all happy avenues for the future, and myself feel exceptionally hopeful for the tightening of our traditional bonds of friendship.
