The Manager, Barclay's Bank, Famagusta, Cyprus.

Dear Sir;

I am sending my three assistants, MM. Cocne de la Ferté, Pironin, Forrer, ahead to prepare the excavations I intend to make this year at Enkomi. They will arrive at Famagusta towards october 6th. I myself hope to arrive towards the end of the month. Pending my arrival, my architect Mr. P.Pironin is in charge of the financial side of the expedition. I have delivered him two checks which he will cash at your office, N° CB/146807, dated october 6th for £200/0/0 (two hundred pounds), and N° CB/ 146808, dated october 20th for £150/0/0 (one hundred and fifty pounds). Please honour these two checks and debit my account of these sums.
