Handwritten: Dear Dr Schaeffer,

I think you will be interested to know that the announcement about the Engomi collaboration has resulted in an enquiry to Reuters from one of their subscribers. As a result their representative here has called on me for some "copy" about the site and the excavations and I have given him the notes I enclose. I trust you will find these in order.

It would have been useful if we had had available copies of any preliminary reports you have published. So I should like to take this opportunity to ask you to arrange to have sent 2 copies of any which have so far appeared; that being the quantity which excavators have to submit under the terms of their permit. I believe one appeared in "Musées de France."

Handwritten: Hoping you are getting good results on you Turkish dig

Handwritten: Yours sincerely,
