as the correct one.

Inventory of French Mission's Furniture etc. at Enkomi. I thought it would be well if we had this translated into Greek, checked and signed by the guard. This has been done, but when the list was checked by Symeon and the guard together the following items on the list were not found –

1 stick (canne) 1 small stool (tabrulet) 1 small kilim.

I hope they may turn up somewhere.

With best wishes to you all for Christmas and the New Year from us both,

Yours sincerely,

P.S. Since writing the above I have received your letter of 12th December, for which many thanks. I look forward to studying more closely the fake/which Forrer is bringing back, and will leave the Egyptian one with Petrakides for the present.

I note that you already have in view to send us a revised list of the objects taken on loan.

I shall send by surface mail the newspapers/ reports. The communiqué you mention has somehow been omitted from your letter. When it reaches me I shall translate and issue it, sending you the newspapers containing it in due course.
