Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

I find I was mistaken about your licence, which in fact expires on 8th August. I have therefore arranged for Dikaios to issue on 9th August a renewal for a further two years.

I saw him yesterday at Engomi where in the western area, near the kink in the town wall, he finds that the lowest remains do not date earlier than LCII. They are of rather good masonry (but not ashlar) and have produced some good Mycenean sherds. Further East he found a tomb underneath the LC I remains, unfortunately empty.

Yours sincerely,
