Dear Mr. Megaw, Two years ago Prof. Hjortsjö, director of Anatomic Institute of Lund University, author of To the Knowledge of the Prehistoric Craniology of Cyprus, asked me if he could be invited by the French Mission to come to study the new crania found at Enkomi & other places in Cyprus. I told him that I cannot pay the journey from Sweden but that on the spot, he would be given all facilities possible and I also asked him to write to you about the non Enkomi material. He than told me that he was not able the to raise the funds for his mission but asked me to write him an official letter stating how important his coming to Cyprus would be for our studies. He now informs me that he has succeeded to find the funds in Sweden & that, together with a colleague, Dr. Gejvall, he intends to come to Cyprus during my dig at Enkomi. He proposes to be there on October 6. and to stay to about November 20. I shall ask him, if possible to come a few days later
